Democrats have moved away from Gen Z men, not the other way around.

This is the Mindless Sea Podcast.   Welcome to the Mindless Sea Podcast. It is Friday, March 28, and I am your host, Jesse Fries.   Everything to follow is about the typical male, the stereotypical male, if you will, and only the male.   No need to say, but this, but that, how about.   I know the exceptions to what follows.   And if you focus on those exceptions, then you will never understand the typical   male.   There's been talk of why Gen Z men have left the Democratic Party. There's been blame put on the podcast manosphere,   social media, and cis male hate for trans this, trans that.  

And because of this shift, Democrats are trying to reach out to Gen Z men.   Governor Gretchen Whitmer in her state of the state address said she'll sign an executive order that will reach out to young men in order to get them an education   and also to help them with housing.   But this really misses the why of why Gen Z men have abandoned the Democratic party.   What's the real reason?   Empathy.   Men have been told to have empathy for everyone in the world. We need to let everyone in.   We need to respect others' opinions. We have to sit down and shut up. We have to make the world better for everybody.   We have to accept other cultures,   but our culture is harmful.  

We have to let others thrive while we sit back and cheer them on.   Men are not naturally very empathetic.   We worry about our own. We concentrate on our family,   our country, our faith, ourselves.   And if there is enough left over, we are willing to share.   For decades, men have been shoved aside while others have been uplifted.   Being male is considered evil.   When a man does anything, it is viewed as negative,   Mansplaining,   manspreading,   toxic masculinity.   The funny thing is is that men are expected to take this abuse.   We are taught from a young age to control ourselves.  

If we don't control ourselves, there are bad repercussions.   Death, rape, prison, broken bones, and the list goes on.   So we accept   being blamed by women because we are taught not to hurt women, to accept their points of view as correct.   Why?   Because women are the civilizing force of our species, and they are physically easy to break, at least for a man.   There is everything right in teaching our boys to control themselves.   Testosterone is a powerful hormone, and we are flooded with it. And that needs to be trained in the good and bad uses of it. So, yes, we teach our boys to be respectful men and to treat the weaker kindly.   It is the right thing to do.  

But the subtle and flagrant abuse of men has to stop. These Gen Z men have grown up their whole lives being told that they are to blame,   or at the very least, not celebrated.   These men grew up with girl power, with pushing women to succeed,   ensuring that women have everything they need.   But the boys were forgotten and overlooked.   The merchandise in stores for boys was all about dinosaurs, race cars, fire trucks. You get that image.   There was not any merchandise that celebrated or pushed boys to be powerful men.   Boys were thought to have all the advantages,   and so society thought that they would be fine.  

I understood at the time strolling through the Targets and Walmarts of this country that this would lead to problems.   And this subtle abuse and ignoring the supposed fortunate sex   has led to the current state of young men.   And this subtle abuse gets compounded   with the flagrant abuse society has put on men. The term man has become a slur,   mansplaining,   manspreading.   These terms are designed to demonize men.   How are young men expected to thrive when they have become a slur?   Then on top of that, society threw toxic masculinity   into the mix.  

So not only is what a man is a slur,   but now what makes him a man is toxic,   a poison within society.   And so after all that,   after being beaten down for their entire life, how should a generation respond?   Should they go along with a group who has beaten them down?   Is it in their interest to be denigrated?   Does it make sense to vote for a party in a system that promotes and hires others just because you aren't the right sex?   Should men align with a party that has no empathy for men   even though it is demanded   of men?  

So for the Democrats out there who think that this is all bullshit,   take a look at the 2024   Gallup poll on liberal conservative gender divide by age.   It's not that young men have gotten more conservative.   It's the simple fact that you have changed and that the Democratic Party has moved against   and away from the needs of young men.   This is the Mindless Sea Podcast.
